See Autumn. See Autumn grow. See Autumn graduate.

Is this really happening?  It does not seem like this is real.  She is so funny about it all.  And we have been busy all week long..............even longer, the last 10 days have been crazy.  Let's see............concerts, singing, speaking in church, singing a solo, (she did an awesome job), "open house" for Southern Virginia University, practice for the Spectacular, Seminary graduation, graduation practice, Graduation, Graduation Party at TOADS, etc.  So you can see that we have been running wild.
Some funny memories of Autumn in school.
Elementary:  Getting ready for school one morning.  Autumn says she feels kind of sick.  Mom checks her out and says, "Well, let's see how the morning goes and if you don't feel good you can call me".  She continues to get ready.  She sees her candy bar from the night before and asks Mom if she can eat it.  Mom says, "Well, remember you can't have candy on the bus, so you would have to eat it before you go".  Autumn eats the candy and Mom takes girls to the bus.  They are off to school.  Not long afterwards, just enough time for the kids to get to school and the kids are taking coats off, guess who gets sick and pucks chocolate on the floor, barely missing all the kids around her?  Right, Autumn!  Mom gets the call to come pick her up because she is sick.  Mom drives to Huntsville to the school, they have Autumn in the "sick room" by the office, which is buzzing with the early morning things in a school when they bring Autumn out when she YELLS across the room at Mom, "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE ME EAT THAT CANDY".
Junior High:  Autumn loves CATS....................there was a time that we had a cat that Autumn knew had her kittens.  But the mother cat was a very good secret keeper and wouldn't tell us where her family was.  Autumn "stalked" her for days and Va La, finally found her family of kittens.
Another moment in Junior High was when Autumn had to go to school in a wheelchair following surgery on her ankles.  She caught the attention of a couple of guys in her class that were being gallant when they asked her if they could push her.  Well, they certianly did that down the hallway at a speed that was incredible.
High School:  Autumn earns her Driver's License and gets to occasionally drive to school.  And like most new drivers, she was given lots of advice.  Mom still does not enjoy being a passenger with ANY of her children.............she is getting better.  However, Autumn did get pulled over one day on her way home from school when she pulled through a stop sign before it was her turn.  The car she happened to pull in front of was an officer!  OH NO!  Someone told her that if she cries then the officer would not give her a ticket.  She tried it....................it worked for her!

Next will be University activities.  Autumn has done well with her schooling.  Math is not her best area but she reads incessantly and can have a book done in a couple of hours.  She will be fine.  My thinking about her attending Southern Virginia University is that, if we still lived in WI and she was coming out to BYU then she would be just as far from home.  So really it's not any different.  BYU was her backup plan and when she got excepted every where she applied she was upset that she still had to make the decision.
