Walton's Marathon

I introduced my girls to the Walton's several years ago and they have LOVED them.  It is an old television show that aired in the seventies and one that I would always try to watch.  It has so many wonderful lessons to teach us about family and life.  It covers a period of time in our country when life was hard but families found innovative ways to survive.  It could really teach us some lessons in today's recession and economy. 

Autumn says that when she finds the "one" that is trying to sweep her off her feet, her test for him will be to watch the Waltons..................if he likes them then he's a keeper, but whoa unto him is he doesn't cause he gets the boot.

To end out the year and to welcome the new year, we had a Walton's Marathon at our house.  It has had us all having Walton dreams along with laughing and crying.  It has been nostalgic and a feel good time.  Everyone needs to have the Walton's in their DVD library.  And guess what, the special reunion movies come out as one last collection set at the end of this month.  Hmmmmmm, and guess who has a birthday right about that time???
