Happy Birthday Derwin

That's right Derwin had another Birthday - YeStErDaY! Dec. 1st - he turned 58 years old. Probably no one makes a birthday more special than a Mom. Derwin says the one thing he misses on his birthday is the call from his MOM. Well, that is one of those childhood - adult moments that follow you throughout one's life. Since that cold winter day in 1950 you started as a son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, - you have added uncle, brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather, great uncle, but best of all FRIEND.

We can't take the place of Mamie, but we make our own impressions on him. He loves the gifts that the girls get him. They are predictable but precious and appreciated. He got his orange sticks (dark chocolate even so no one else will take any), salted nut roll, and root beer floats!

Eddy ranks with the best of them by bringing his Pa a Malt! It was rather a quiet day since we couldn't take him out anywhere but we loved sharing it with him.

Happy Birthday Derwin, you are a GrEAt mAN! Heavenly Father knows your name and loves you.

Happy birthday, Uncle Derwin! We hope that even though your day was quiet, that it was a nice one. You truly are a great man and I'm so thankful for the impact for good you've had on my life. You and your good family are in all of our prayers every day.
Love,
Beth

That last comment on your blog is so true. Derwin is a great man. I think of you more than ever now. My honey is gone! What ever will I do?

Happt birthday Derwin, sounds like you received some special gifts.

Is there any snow in the Valley? We're coming up tonight for a TV Board Christmas Party.
